Trip finds himself begging a local farmer for a place to stay and a job. But when he goes on a date with the nicest, most wonderful girl in town and does nothing but insult and belittle her in front of the towns people at a local bar it is decided that Trip needs to do things on his own now and his parents packed him a suitcase and tough loved him right out of the house. Lately he has become unbearable to his parents and others. Trip won a medal at the Olympics way back for running but he still thinks it will carry him through life, you know that five minutes of fame. I know, like me, a lot of people out there are in a place where we need to get our mind off the problems around us and Trip The Runner is the perfect thing to help you do just that. I highly recommend this and I would highly recommend the audiobook. The way she narrated conversations between characters really help the comedic element of the book. Yet, halfway through the first chapter, I discovered she was perfect for this. At first, I thought it was odd that a woman was doing an audiobook where the main character was male.

The audiobook itself is really, really great! The audio quality was outstanding, and the narrator did a fantastic job doing all the voices. I decided to get another book by the same author, and I’m so glad I did! This book was a joy from beginning to end, and I was actually sad when it was over.

Then a couple of weeks after finishing Greasy Through The Sky, I couldn’t get it out of my head. I had a problem with how it started off really slow, and then when the plot picked up, it became very aggressive and, at times, mean-spirited. A few weeks ago, I got the audiobook for Greasy Through The Sky. Trip The Runner was a real surprise! It was the funny, fun, and romantic thing I needed right now.
